Bath Orchard is a small organisation with big ambition, like the apple seedlings that we plant, nurture and grow. With the residents and businesses of Bath we want to nurture and grow Bath Orchard over the coming years to support the UK's goal of achieving net zero by 2050.

When one apple tree is planted, it makes a difference, but when hundreds are planted together, the impact is extraordinary.
A single tree can absorb around 22kg of CO₂ each year. Multiply that by hundreds, and suddenly an entire community is offsetting tonnes of carbon, creating cleaner air, richer soil, and a healthier environment for everyone. By joining forces, we don’t just plant trees, we grow orchards of hope, resilience, and sustainability that future generations will inherit.

The Bath Orchard initiative aims to restore this beautiful piece of land transforming it from an underutilised space into an improved green asset that actively removes more CO₂ from the air than it currently does.
